Nuevas formas de prostitución - New forms of prostitution

En los últimos treinta años se han venido configurado nuevas modalidades en el ejercicio de la prostitución, diversas en cuanto a nombres, lugares, formas, estilos, circunstancias; la prostitución convencional, típica o tradicional muta paulatinamente, utiliza los avances de la tecnología y en igual forma lo hacen las estructuras del proxenetismo que contactan a las mujeres. Internet y el auge de los teléfonos móviles permiten que se profesionalice el comercio sexual.

Con las nuevas modalidades se innova a su vez el mercadeo, lo observamos en el caso de las prepago que desde mediados de los años noventa, empresas o agencias formales de prostitución que operan a la luz pública, ofrecen en las páginas de los diarios colombianos con el nombre de escorts y más tarde, al surgir las aplicaciones de internet se afecta la forma del anuncio para encontrar parejas sexuales, se cancela con tarjeta de crédito y las citas se gestionan por medio de ICQ (I seek you), Facebook, WhatsApp, Tinder.

Internet modificó el mercado del sexo más rápido que su regulación y vigilancia, así es como las innovaciones tecnológicas unidas al gran vacío legal existente han permitido la creación de nuevos canales y posibilidades para la captación de mujeres y prostituyentes, el surgimiento de nuevas formas de prostitución que facilitarían la identificación de los tratantes de personas que explotan a las mujeres más vulnerables si existiera algún tipo de control. El desarrollo de las tecnologías de la comunicación y la información es imparable, igualmente las nuevas formas de prostitución que van surgiendo. He aquí los nuevos tipos o nombres utilizados en la prostitución, algunos muy característicos de Colombia:

Prepago(1): Unida a la popularización del teléfono celular, llamada prepago para hacer referencia a la cuestión monetaria que se pacta telefónica y anticipadamente. Afirman no ser prostitutas, pero comparten el mismo oficio, la palabra prepago no les recuerda asuntos morales, alude a la tecnología. En el grupo de las mujeres prepago hay desde niñas, adolescentes, jóvenes estudiantes universitarias hasta profesionales del mundo de la farándula. Es la mujer agraciada, inclusive famosa, aunque no siempre; que cobra por servicios sexuales en su gran mayoría a “ejecutivos de alto riesgo”(2) o delincuentes famosos. Las niñas y adolescentes son concertadas en las puertas de entrada a los colegios por medio del celular que se les han obsequiado con anterioridad.

Las convenientes(3): Son mujeres que no ponen tarifa a sus servicios sexuales, van en busca de lujos y excentricidades, hacen lo mismo que las prepago, pero con una conquista de por medio. Los intermediarios las presentan a “ejecutivos de alto riesgo” que las ennovian, llenan de regalos y les hacen la vida fácil. Generalmente son actrices, modelos, presentadoras y mujeres agraciadas. Es un tipo de prostitución que podría denominarse institucionalizada, legalizada desde los más altos sectores de la sociedad, secreto a voces que la acepta como actividad normal.

Call girl: La mujer contrata y es contactada por vía telefónica con los prostituyentes y el encuentro se realiza en hoteles o apartamentos; es una modalidad muy conocida a nivel nacional e internacional. Vale aclarar que es indiscutible que el teléfono móvil es un protagonista en el ámbito prostitucional, así se estén dando variadas formas, el celular está presente de una u otra manera en todas ellas como medio de contacto para oferta o demanda, agendas potenciales de los mal llamados clientes, imágenes pornográficas, videos de corta duración, mensajes escritos (SMS), llamadas telefónicas, etc.

New forms of prostitution

In the last thirty years, new modalities have been configured in the exercise of prostitution, diverse in terms of names, places, forms, styles, circumstances. The conventional, typical or traditional prostitution gradually mutates, uses the advances of technology and in the same way the structures of pimping and contacting women. The Internet and the rise of mobile phones allow the sex trade to professionalize.

With the new modalities, marketing is also innovated. We observe it in the case of the prepaid companies that since the mid-nineties, companies or formal prostitution agencies that operate in the public light offer in the pages of Colombian newspapers with the name of escorts and later on when the internet applications appear, the form of the advertisement to find sexual partners is affected, it uses credit card payments and appointments are managed through ICQ (I seek you), Facebook, WhatsApp, Tinder.

The Internet modified the sex market faster than its regulation and surveillance just like how technological innovations together with the great existing legal vacuum have allowed the creation of new channels and possibilities for the recruitment of women and clients, the emergence of new forms of prostitution that would facilitate the identification of human traffickers who exploit the most vulnerable women if ever there is any type of control. The development of communication and information technologies is unstoppable like the new forms of prostitution that are emerging. Here are the new types or names used in prostitution, some are very typical in Colombia:

Prepaid : Together with the popularity of the cell phone, prepaid call refers to the monetary issue that is agreed through telephone and done in advance. They claim not to be prostitutes, but they share the same trade, the word prepaid does not remind them of moral issues, it alludes to technology. In the group of prepaid women there are girls, adolescents, young university students to professionals from the world of entertainment. She is the graceful woman, even famous, though not always; she charges for sexual services mostly to "high-risk executives” or the famous delinquents. The girls and adolescents are settled at the entrance doors to the schools through the cell phone that they have been gifted previously.

The convenient : They are women who do not put a fee on their sexual services, go in search of luxuries and eccentricities, do the same as prepaid women but with a conquest in between. The intermediaries present them to "high-risk executives" who dignify, shower them with gifts and make life easy for them. They are usually actresses, models, hosts, and graceful women. It is a type of prostitution that could be called institutionalized, legalized from the highest sectors of society, an open secret that accepts it as a normal activity.

Call girl: The woman is hired and is contacted through telephone by the clients and the meeting takes place in hotels or apartments. It is a very well-known modality nationally and internationally. It is worth clarifying that it is indisputable that the mobile phone is a protagonist in the prostitution field, even if various forms are taking place, the cell phone is present in one way or another in all of them as a means of contact for supply or demand, potential agendas of the evil customer calls, pornographic images, short videos, written messages (SMS), phone calls, etc.
