El engaño

La promesa de un bien remunerado, que ni una carrera profesional les ofrece resulta engañosa. El principal es el incumplimiento en el pago por parte de los administradores: “Según el documento o contrato, nosotras no trabajábamos para ellos, sino que les estábamos pagando arriendo por una habitación. Por tanto, ellos no se hacían responsables de nada de lo que nos pasara, ni siquiera de un accidente dentro de las instalaciones. Ellos, en cambio, sí tenían derecho sobre nuestras ganancias y nuestro tiempo e incluso nos podían sancionar con dinero si algún día faltábamos. Nada protege a las mujeres” .(1)

Otra comenta: “Trabajé dos meses, nos dijeron que nos pagaban los días 6 y jamás recibí pago”(2), las amenazan “Hubo unas conversaciones donde dieron a entender represalias si llegaba a irme con alguna de las modelos o si llegaba a decir algo al respecto”(3), y los dueños las presionan cada vez más: “A medida que pasaban los meses las ganancias fueron decayendo y éramos víctimas de los dueños del estudio que querían quitarnos cada vez más porcentaje. Además, muchas veces solicité manejar mis propias cuentas y no me lo permitían. No podía ver cuánto ganaba y ni siquiera sabía mis contraseñas. […] La respuesta siempre era la misma: chicas se tienen que esforzar más, venir más horas, en otra se recomponen y cosas así que, en vez de tranquilizarme, me enfurecían. Con lágrimas en los ojos les gritaba que cómo pretendían que yo viviera y pagara el arriendo con ese dinero. Ellos me ignoraban”.(4)

A la falta de pago, siguen variaciones en la divisa, número de personas que ingresan al chat, alteraciones en los gustos de los consumidores, posible falta de innovación por carecer de fondos para hacer actualizaciones, variaciones en la aceptabilidad del estudio o plataforma, quiebra del estudio por la aparición de nuevas formas y competidores, implementación de regulaciones e impuestos por parte del Estado: “Es mejor no meterse en eso, te están explotando así escojas el mejor turno, pues los que llenan los bolsillos son ellos. Para ser postulada, estar en la cima [sic], por lo menos tienes que estar trabajando más de tres años, allí te dejan viajar, ¿te mienten? […] es una explotación. Pues en todo se benefician más ellos, la demanda es demasiado grande, no se imaginan cuánto. Consiste en hacer 20 mil monedas, que equivalen semanal a 100.000 dólares. Y todo depende del dólar. Pasé por todo eso, ahora ya abrí los ojos, es un fraude, que no ayudaba a nada bueno, dicen que lo ayudan a uno, pero lo explotan .(5)

Sumado a la falta de pago, las mujeres hablan de acoso, amenazas, la humillación, ciberacoso, burlas, chantaje, la extorsión como la suplantación de identidad, catfishing o phishing, o el bullying(6) y la posibilidad de ser reconocidas en internet que resulta altamente estresante en su vida privada y familiar. “Unos clientes te toman videos, fotos y con eso mismo lo chantajean a uno, y le dicen, yo tengo tú video y si no haces eso lo subo al Facebook y otras redes sociales. Uno vive intimidado. La que quiere te dan antifaz. Si el cliente le paga, uno se lo quita para no perder el cliente. Eso es un error. Pero qué hacer […] Uno va aprendiendo. Me siento usada desde que comencé de prepago, siempre lo voy a llevar a dentro [sic] ”;(7) “Tengo miedo de ser vista en la calle y ser señalada, pues a algunas chicas le publicaron fotos y videos ”.(8)

Otra comenta: “Un día, a través de un cliente, me enteré de que existen personas o estudios que suben las transmisiones de todas las modelos y sus registros fotográficos a páginas pornográficas donde se venden sin ningún consentimiento. Quedé sorprendida al darme cuenta de que, si buscaba mi nombre de usuario en Google, el motor de búsqueda iba a mostrar una serie de fotos y videos en las que aparecía desnuda y masturbándome. Ya era demasiado tarde, ya todo ese material estaba en la web, cualquiera podía verlo, incluso mi familia. Ni las páginas, ni el estudio me dijeron que esa mujer, hombre o pareja al otro lado de la pantalla podía grabarme y vender mi material sin ninguna sanción. Fui ingenua e inocente y ahora lo estaba pagando. Así que me fui y decidí no volver nunca más a ese mundo. […] Entendí que la libertad que perseguía era falsa, me había vuelto esclava del dinero y lo que hacía me causaba malestar”.(9)

Deception

The promise of a well-paid that even a professional career offers them is misleading. The main one is the failure to pay by the administrators: “According to the document or contract, we did not work for them, but we were paying them rent for a room. Therefore, they were not responsible for anything that happened to us, not even an accident within the facilities. They, on the other hand, did have a right to our earnings and our time and they could even penalize us with money if we were ever absent. Nothing protects women”.(1)

Another comments: “I worked for two months, they told us they paid us on the 6th and I never received payment”,(2) they threatened them “There were some conversations where they implied reprisals if I went to leave with any of the models or if I even said something about it”(3), and the owners put more and more pressure on them: “As the months went by, the profits fell and we were victims of the owners of the studio who wanted to take more and more of us. Also, many times I asked to manage my own accounts and they did not allow it. I couldn't see how much I was making and didn't even know my passwords. […]The answer was always the same: girls have to work harder, come more hours, in another they recompose themselves and things like that, instead of calming me down, they infuriated me. With tears in my eyes I yelled at them how they wanted me to live and pay the rent with that money. They ignored me”.(4)

The lack of payment is followed by variations in the currency, number of people entering the chat, alterations in consumer tastes, possible lack of innovation due to lack of funds to make updates, variations in the acceptability of the studio or platform, bankruptcy of the study due to the appearance of new forms and competitors, implementation of regulations and taxes by the State: “It is better not to get involved, they are exploiting you even if you choose the best turn, because they are the ones who fill the pockets. To be nominated, to be on the cima [ sic ], at least you have to be working for more than three years, they let you travel there, do they lie to you? [ … ]it is an exploitation. For all benefits n over them, the demand is too great, can not imagine how much. It consists of making 20 coins, which are equivalent to 100,000 dollars a week. And everything depends on the dollar. I went through all that, now I have opened my eyes, it is a fraud, which did not bring anything good, they say they help you, but they exploit you".(5)

In addition to the lack of payment, women speak of harassment, threats, humiliation, cyberbullying, mockery, blackmail, extortion such as identity theft, catfishing or phishing, or bullying(6) and the possibility of being recognized on the internet which is highly stressful in your private and family life. “Some clients take videos, photos of you and with that they blackmail you, and they tell you, I have your video and if you don't do that I upload it to Facebook and other social networks. One lives intimidated. The one who wants they give you an eye mask. If the customer pays you, you take it away so you don't lose the customer. That is an error. But what to do […] You learn. I feel used since I started prepaid, I will always carry it inside [sic]”;(7) " I am afraid of being seen on the street and being singled out, because they published photos and videos of some girls ".(8)

Another comments: “One day, through a client, I learned that there are people or studios that upload the transmissions of all the models and their photographic records to pornographic pages where they are sold without any consent. I was shocked to find that if I googled my username, the search engine would show a series of photos and videos of me naked and masturbating. It was too late, all that material was already on the web, anyone could see it, even my family. Neither the pages nor the studio told me that that woman, man or couple on the other side of the screen could record me and sell my material without any sanction. I was naive and innocent and now I was paying for it. So, I left and decided never to return to that world again. […] I understood that the freedom I was pursuing was false, I had become a slave to money and what I was doing caused me discomfort”.(9)
